At Blanche, we are lucky to meet many inspiring women. In our journal Carte Blanche, we seek out creatives to learn about what fuels them and how they make it as creatives.

Take us to the very beginning. What paths brought you to where you are today?

I’m born and raised in Aarhus, Denmark. I started dancing ballet when I was 7 years old and that has been a very big part of my life. When I was 16 I moved on my own to Copenhagen because I wanted to take ballet to the next level and hopefully become a full time ballerina.

How did you find purpose & build a new career when plan A failed?

After four years of intense ballet practice in Copenhagen my body said stop. I ended with a stress fracture three different places in my foot. My identity was in being a ballet dancer; to have such a big part of myself taken away, was scary. I’m a strong believer in “everything happens for a reason”. A few months after I stopped dancing, I went to be a full-time model. Ar...

You can come far in life by welcoming what comes to you and amplifying it.

My identity was in being a ballet dancer; to have such a big part of yourself taken away, was scary. I’m a strong believer in “everything happens for a reason”. A few months after I stopped dancing and went on with my plan B of being a full-time model, co-incidentally I gained a lot of followers on social media, and it opened new opportunities. You can come far in life by being open to whatever comes at you and go with it.

Q: How did you start creating content, and when did you realize it could be a career?

I was around 12 years old when I got Instagram, I have always been posting random pictures on there. When I became a model I started using it as kind of a portfolio for myself. I started posting on TikTok the summer of 2021 just around the time I finished ballet for good. After a few months, a video on tiktok went viral while a picture on my Instagram also blew up. Brands started reaching out to me with deals. I chose to see where I could go with. Today it’s a nice balance for when I don’t have any modeling jobs.

Q: How can one stay authentic as a content creator which demands sharing and overexposure?

It is hard to make something “advertised” look “not advertised”. The most important thing is to know what brands you like and what products you like. I personally say no to a lot of brands because I don’t see myself either wearing or advertising them. I personally enjoy fashion and beauty - so even if it is an advertisement, it should be a genuine extension of what I like and would use in real life. As an influencer, our main currency is the trust of our followers.

Q: How do you fuel your creative energy?

I am a creative person. I love experimenting with fashion. I love getting outfit inspiration on Pinterest and recreating different outfits and putting my own twist to it. Since I was little, I have enjoyed making videos and editing them. The best thing is to have an idea for a video and then spend hours editing it in different ways. It’s so satisfying when a video is done and ready to be published.

Q: Any tips for others aspiring to become fashion content creators?

This answer is cliché, but keep doing what you love. There isn’t any recipe for it.

  • Q: One fun fact about you.

I am an introvert but all my professional life is extremely extrovert.

  • Q: What are the 3 must haves in your wardrobe?

    ● Baggy low waisted/mid waist jeans
    ● I love baby tees
    ● A little “leather” jacket

  • Q: Do you remember the first Blanche item you ever owned/ wore.

I remember it very clearly, I bought the Apollo jeans in black, back when I was 18. I was so excited about them and the way they fit, so I went out and bought them in beige, pink and purple.
